About this program
From June 28 to July 1, 2025, the Center for Inclusive Accountability and Governance (CIAG) brought together key stakeholders and women leaders in Hargeisa for a strategic planning engagement focused on enhancing women’s political participation and leadership ahead of the 2026 parliamentary elections.
The session created a platform for meaningful discussions on the opportunities, challenges, and strategies required to support women aspiring to participate in political leadership. Participants collaborated to develop a clear roadmap focused on strengthening women’s preparedness, confidence, and engagement within the political landscape.
The initiative highlights CIAG’s continued commitment to promoting inclusive governance, accountability, and equal representation in decision-making spaces. Through strategic planning and stakeholder collaboration, CIAG aims to support women in becoming effective leaders who can influence policies and contribute to shaping Somaliland’s future.
