The Center for Inclusive and Accountable Governance (CIAG) successfully concluded a transformative 2-day Women's Leadership Training program in Hargeisa. The training brought together 30 aspiring women leaders from across Somaliland for intensive capacity-building sessions.Participants engaged in modules covering public speaking, campaign strategy, media engagement, and community mobilization. The program featured experienced women leaders who shared their journeys and insights, providing invaluable mentorship to the next generation of political leaders.
Key highlights included practical exercises in public speaking, role-playing scenarios for political campaigns, and personalized coaching sessions. Participants left equipped with concrete skills and increased confidence to pursue leadership roles in their communities and in public office.
This training is part of CIAG's broader Women's Political Participation & Representation Program, aimed at achieving 20% women representation in Somaliland's parliament and local councils by 2026.
